Using a Mirror to Teach Phonics

Using a mirror is great tool for teaching phonics. Here I bought 6 small mirrors and glued them to foam core. I spread them out and gave them to the students. First you can model the sounds and have them look at your mouth. Next have them try to pronounce the sound. Have them look at your mouth and try again using the mirror.

"Hi Ian! I loved the course! It wasn't really difficult, but it was not easy - and I feel like I learned a lot. I definitely plan to continue using the resources. I have applied for and set up over 7 interviews already in China. If you add on various additional certs, like Young learners and what not I would take those. I plan to take a job in China and blog about it for the year to qualify for the 1000 hour cert. Thanks so much for an awesome learning experience" - Sandra Dee Bonadonna, TEFL 120

@Laine I can't remember the name of that book. It was a phonics book. I'd recommend "English Time" or "Let's Go" for young learners 5+. They each have books with levels 1-6. You can find out more at the link for "ESL Books" below.
